Building A Foundation
Our curriculum is designed to encourage, enrich and engage our students. Each year at Redeemer Day School builds on the year before. We are still cementing those foundational skills practiced in our Busy Bees class such as obeying and respecting authority, performing daily jobs, sharing, waiting our turn, and being kind to others. Children learn to begin a task and follow it through to completion. Students are challenged to listen to and follow multi-step directions and to learn that directions given to the group apply to them as individuals. These skills must be in practice in order for real learning to occur.

Adventures In Learning
Children in our Butterfly class actively participate in developing their phonemic awareness while also learning to recognize the letters of the alphabet and associate letters with sounds. Fine motor skills are taught and practiced through weekly crafts and our end of the year drawing project. Students are taught to count to 30 and backwards from 10. We practice rote counting and counting objects as well as continuing and creating simple patterns. We practice numeral recognition, counting, and patterning during calendar time as the children are also learning the days of the week, months of the year, and about the four seasons. We endeavor to instill a love of our country through our social studies program and daily recital of the Pledge of Allegiance. We have a rich science curriculum that instills an awareness of God’s hand in our world, His creation! Children are reminded as we practice all these various disciplines that the Lord is the author of all truth as we continually point them to Him.

Hiding God’s Word and His Truths in our hearts
Through the daily presentation of God’s word, Bible Truth questions, Scripture memorization, and prayer, we humbly lead our children to see their need for God’s grace. We lead the children through the entire Jesus Storybook Bible over the school year, and endeavor to show them God’s plan for salvation in place from the very beginning. Students learn two new Bible verses each month, review the Bible Truth questions learned in the Busy Bees class and continue on to learn new Bible Truths. We also model and teach them how to pray using the acronym, ACTS: adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.
